    • Retractable or fixed

      Retractable fabric awnings roll away when you want sun. Fixed aluminum awnings stay up year round with almost no upkeep.

    • Width and projection

      Go a little wider than the door or window you want to shade. Projection sets how far the shade reaches onto the patio.

    • Mounting surface

      Wood framing, brick, block and concrete all work with the right anchors. Siding and stucco need fasteners that reach solid framing.

    • Power and wind

      Motorized awnings need an outdoor outlet nearby. A wind sensor retracts the awning on its own when gusts pick up.

    Measure the wall space above the opening and the depth of shade you want with our size guide. If you need all-weather cover rather than sun control, compare shade structures first. Most awnings install in an afternoon, and our install guide covers anchors for each wall type.

    What wall types can I mount it on?

    Can I leave it out in bad weather?

    Fixed aluminum awnings and canopies stay up year round. Retract fabric awnings in high wind or heavy snow, or add a wind sensor so it retracts on its own.

    How long does installation take?

    Most canopies and fixed awnings go up in two to four hours with two people. Motorized awnings may also need an outdoor outlet within reach of the cord.

    How is it delivered?

    Orders ship by freight to your driveway in the lower 48. The carrier calls ahead to schedule a delivery window.

    What does the warranty cover?
